Kara received her Master’s of Social Work from The University of Iowa. Kara has over 6 years of experience working with children, teens, families, and adults in multiple different settings. Kara utilizes various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems Therapy, Play Therapy, and Strengths-based therapy. Kara sees clients ages 4 to 25.

My goal as a therapist is to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone that walks through my door. One of the most important aspects to therapy is building a strong and trusting relationship between client and therapist. I provide a caring and supportive relationship to clients to help them grow and change in positive ways. I am passionate about helping clients to discover and build resiliency as they move through challenges in life. I understand that therapy is not a one-size fits all, I use a variety of different therapeutic modalities to help set goals that best fit you.
